The digitalisation of freight transport takes another step forward with the introduction of the mandatory Electronic Administrative Control Document (DeCA). From 5 October 2026, the control document must be generated electronically in accordance with the requirements set out in Spanish legislation.
At Logartour, we are already prepared for this change. Our operations are digitised and we manage the DeCA via Dashdoc, our transport management system (TMS), which enables us to centralise documentation and work with up-to-date information throughout the various stages of each consignment.
This adaptation enables us to meet the new requirement with a digital, agile process designed to maintain control and traceability of our customers’ consignments.
What is the DeCA and why is it compulsory?
The DeCA is the Electronic Administrative Control Document which certifies the essential details of public road haulage services subject to this requirement.
Its mandatory implementation in electronic format is intended to move towards a more digitised document management system, to facilitate checks during roadside inspections and to ensure the availability of information relating to each consignment.
La normativa establece requisitos técnicos para la generación y conservación del documento, entre ellos:
- Native PDF format: the document must be generated electronically from the application’s structured data, not by scanning a paper document.
- QR code: the PDF must include a QR code that provides access to the document’s specific web address.
- Availability during inspections: the driver must have a copy of the document containing the QR code, which they may display on an electronic device or carry in printed form in accordance with the established requirements.
- Document retention: documents produced must be retained for at least one year, ensuring they remain available.
These requirements are set out in the Resolution of 5 June 2026 issued by the Directorate-General for Road and Rail Transport, published in the Official State Gazette.
Logartour: ready for the DeCA from day one
Adapting to the new documentation requirements does not necessarily mean a sudden overhaul of our operations. At Logartour, we already use a digital management system that allows us to integrate the documentation into our standard transport processes.
Our fleet is operating as normal and we manage the DeCA via Dashdoc, thereby avoiding reliance on manual, paper-based processes for issuing and monitoring this documentation.
This programme is based on four key aspects:
1. 100 % digital documentation
The DeCA is generated in native PDF format and includes the required QR code to facilitate access to it during inspections. In this way, we work with digital documents prepared in accordance with the applicable technical requirements.
2. More efficient roadside checks
The fact that the document is available in electronic format makes it easier for the driver to show it on their mobile device when asked to do so during an inspection.
This makes it easier to access documentation and avoids having to rely on searching through physical documents to carry out these checks.
3. Centralised management via Dashdoc
Integration with Dashdoc, our TMS, enables documentation to be managed within a centralised digital environment.
By integrating document management with standard transport processes, we can organise and access shipment information more efficiently, whilst maintaining greater control over the documentation associated with each service.
4. Traceability and monitoring of consignments
Digitisation makes it easier to access and track the documentation relating to each consignment. This helps to ensure that information is managed more efficiently and strengthens operational control throughout the various stages of the service.
Para nuestros clientes, disponer de una operativa documental organizada es una parte importante de la gestión de sus mercancías y de la coordinación de su cadena de suministro.
What benefits does document digitisation offer our clients?
Adapting to DeCA goes beyond regulatory compliance. It is also part of a shift towards more efficient and connected logistics processes.
Working with digital documents helps to reduce reliance on paper, make information more accessible and simplify certain administrative tasks.
At Logartour, we see technology as a tool for improving the day-to-day management of transport. That is why we have integrated documentation into our day-to-day operations, with the aim of ensuring more efficient, traceable and secure management of our customers’ consignments.
Preparing for regulatory changes also enables us to stay focused on what matters most: organising each shipment with the utmost care, complying with the relevant requirements and providing a service tailored to the needs of each business.
Logartour: technology and efficiency at the service of transport
The entry into force of the DeCA marks a further step towards the digitalisation of road transport. At Logartour, we are ready to embrace this change with well-prepared operational procedures and a document management system fully integrated into our standard processes.
Gracias a Dashdoc, trabajamos con documentación digital centralizada y herramientas que nos ayudan a mejorar el control de las expediciones y la disponibilidad de la información.
